Fine Art Printing Services

Our primary goal is to provide you with the highest quality prints with true archival longevity. We offer the highest print resolution, detail and color range using pigmented inks with a wide selection of media. We offer true museum quality output when reproducing your photography, artwork, illustrations and historical images.

Canvas Printing

Our unique specialty is high-end canvas printing. We use what we have found to be the highest quality digital printing canvas available – Intellicoat’s Magiclee Torino 17M Canvas. After the canvas is printed, it is sprayed with ClearStar’s water based fine-art spray for a thick UV and scratch resistant protective coating.

Gallery Wrapped Stretching:

Image is wrapped around the sides of the stretcher bar and stapled to the back) as well as “standard” stretching (where the staples go in the white border of the canvas on the outside edge of the stretcher bar).  Gallery wraps are available in 1″, 1.5″ and 2″ sizes.

Standard Stretching:

Staples go in the white border of the canvas on the outside edge of the stretcher bar).  Suitable for framing.

Please note:

We do offer custom sizes for stretched canvases. We cut our stretchers bars to order, so that you are not confined to standard sizes. Our largest image size for canvas before stretching is 58” x 96”.

Fine Art Paper Printing

We offer fine-art printing on a variety of high-end cotton rag and watercolor substrates. Our basic fine-art paper selection includes:

• Canson Etching Edition Rag(specsheet)

Our most popular cotton rag paper.  This paper is ideal for art reproduction and  photography with a softer look and feel than traditional photographic papers.

• Museo Max Cotton Rag Sheets(specsheet)

Our thickest paper at 365 g/m2;  this is available up to 17 x 22 sheets.  It’s properties are very similar to the Canson Etching Edition Rag with it’s subtle texture and off-white appearance.

• Canson Rag Photographique(specsheet)

Our smoothest cotton rag paper.

• Big Dog Archival Matte Paper(specsheet)

A smooth bright white paper for the most economical fine-art alternative, including posters in short runs where offset press would not be an option.

Photo Paper Printing

For those artists who want the look and feel of a traditional photographic print, we offer prints up to 44” x 120” on Big Dog’s Alpine Media Satin Paper. Unless you absolutely need a Glossy media, our personal preference is the Satin paper for best image quality and superior scratch and fingerprint resistance.

Please Note: We have carefully chosen our media selection from years of critical testing, but we are always willing to special order a client’s specific media request. A small testing and custom-profiling fee may apply.
